RULE 1:Presumptions are Deadly
When you are setting out to make a point, maybe it's the basic "god does not exist" or even a esoteric argument that only pinheads look for angels on the heads of pins, presumption is your deadliest foe. If you don't know what you're talking about, its better not to be talking. Proceeding without the support of EVIDENCE leaves you open to discredit yourself at the least, and the idea you are supporting at the most.
However, presumption on the part of your opponent in debate is your friend. It's a fault line that can just as easily sink them and their arguments as it can founder you and yours. So take heed of common presumptions to watch for
